David teaches World Geography and I am still teaching Special Education and serve as the coordinator for the special education co-op program. We have two sons. Jason is a 23 year old graduate of Sam Houston State University. He is recently married and is the sports coordinator for the Baytown Sun. Our youngest son, Drew, is a Jr. computer science major at Southwest Texas in San Marcos. David and I sponsor the high school travel club and have made some spectacular trips to other parts of the world, but we are looking forward to that day when we can travel without students. I find it hard to imagine a day when I can't tell you the exact number of days till summer vacation. I am presently teaching 3rd grade in the gifted and talented program. I worked in the oil and gas industry for 10 years and loved it. But when the bottom fell out of it, I went back to teaching. I have been trying to find Beverly Gandy for several years. She moved away from Bridge City before we graduated. I loved college, and am thinking about going back in the next 2 years. I've had a lot of fun teaching, but I'd like to try other things as well. I'd love to hear from anyone I graduated with and find out how their lives turned out! My Oh My how time seems to fly when you are having fun!!! Sometimes it seems to even fly when there ain't a whole lot of fun to be had. Some of you may already know bits and pieces; but, this is, as they say, the whole shocking story. What I am involved in now (as much as my disability will allow) is jail ministry. I have been working as a volunteer in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility since shortly before 9/11. Never left the area. Ron and I have the best life you could ask for. We have 5 children and 6 grandchildren between the two of us. Four of our kids are grown and have kids of their own. Britaney is a 4th grader at Orangefield. We have been together for 19 years and I can honestly say I have found my soulmate. I don't want for anything and my life is full. We are in the process of remodeling a home. If you have never remodeled a home try to see what a strain it will put on your marriage. This is the second home we have remodeled and so far survived. I see some of ya'll occasionally but I don't see or hear from as many of you as I would like to. I love every minute of her. She is the light of our life and we can't imagine life without her in it. She had a hard start to life but to see her now you would never know. The lord has truly blessed me and my family. He has given us a lot to bear and carry but it has only made us stronger. We have survived our eldest son having cancer, my having cancer, Britaney being born with Spina Bifida, the lockout at Gerdau Ameristeel, where Ron was unemployed for almost one year, and last but by all means not least Hurricaine Rita, where our house was almost completely destroyed and we had no insurance. We live in College Station where I worked as a secretary for CSISD for 16 years. Although I enjoyed the years I worked for the school district, I know that my calling in life was to be a mom. I've enjoyed my children, Heather and Ryan so much and am continuing to do so along with 3 precious grandchildren. Jeff is the GM at Allen Honda in College Station and has been with the Allen family for close to 30 yrs. which is almost unheard of in the car business. He loves his job! I still long for the home I grew up in and have so many wonderful memories there. I've been so amazed at the strength that so many of my former classmates, friends and family have had through the devastating, destructive "Hurricane Ike". The loss of so much in my own family home was so "gut wrenching". I am so thankful for the years I had with my precious parents, brothers and sisters in Bridge City. What a great childhood I had! We had 4 ft. of water in our home. We lost all of our furniture among may other things, but were able to salvage some of our pictures. We evacuated to New Orleans, so my family was safe. We are living in a FEMA trailor. It's very different than being in my house but thank God we have it. We are in our back yard so we are still at home. It was a horrible experience being homeless. If you haven't been to B.C. lately you wouldn't believe it. As you all know we are known as "Trailor City". The town is rebuilding so hopefully we will all be back to normal soon. (Updated 6/24/2011)

I attended boththe 10 15 year reunions and had a great time. My mother still lives in the area. Since leaving BC, the highlights of my life are my two children and 3 grandchildren. I spent 3 years in the Army stationed at the Pentagon, from 1987 to 1990. Used my GI bill to get a degree in accounting and I am currently supervisor of the general accounting department at UTHSC - Houston.
