We have one 28 yr. old son, Jason, who has been living in Ohio where he has a little girl and little boy (ANOTHER Mike Baker). Mike has worked for years in Supervision in Construction at the local refineries, and in 2002 he went back to college and became a "State Certified Real Estate (Home) Inspector". He still works at the refineries, and does inspections also. I had worked for years in the Secretarial field (at SW Bell, the Orange Police Dept. and Office Mgr. for Farmers Insurance), but am now just being the "Administrative Assistant" for 'BAKER HOME INSPECTIONS'. We live off IH 10 between Orange & Vidor. I was diagnosed in 1998 with Relapsing/Remitting Multiple Sclerosis, but am doing just fine! When I came back to B.C. the Lord gave me Pam ( Pam Borel class of " 70 " ) my wife for 29 years as of Jan. 2000 .I worked for BCPD for a while , then moved to Lufkin , TX. to work for Owens - ILL. plywood co. . 21/2 years later came back to Orange to work for Owens - ILL. paper co.. 26 yrs later still here but now Inland Cont. Corp. . Moved to Brookeland , Tx. in 1991 where we bought 10 acres of land on Sam Rayburn Lake . We now own Dixon's Trailer Ranch, a trailer storage area out side Mill Creek Park . My new e-mail is above. I am still Police Chief. I lost Dorothy in June of 2006. I have been lonely ever since. My daughter lives in California and is divorced from what I used to think was a wonderful son-in-law. I do not think that any longer. Stephanie was unable to have children, so my only grand children are my two dogs. I love my job because now I don't just have to go out and enforce the law on my friends, instead, I can really help them. We boomers are nearing retirement, and I am no exception. I hope to only work two to two and a half more years. I am tired of seeing what I have to see. There are only so many homicides, suicides and traffic fatalities in one person. I believe I have reached that saturation point. When I come to this sight and read the bios, I am taken back to a time when I did not have to worry about that stuff. I may consult for security companies when I retire, with 911 causing so many changes. We aren't completely safe yet, but I trust in the local and federal agents to keep us as safe as possible. Continued playing in bands after leaving Texas but the music buisness in this town is tough tough tough. So had to keep my day job with baby and all.Tulsa's been good to me though it sure is hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Don't have to deal with the humidity though. I use to come down and visit every couple of years but driving long distances is getting more difficult and I am a white knuckle flyer ever though I worked at Mcdonnell Douglas for almost 10 years or maybe that's why I'm nervous about flying if you really knew what goes on sometimes he he. sorta like not knowing what are in hot dogs get it? I don't think I ever forgave my dad for that move....lol. Anyway, I married in 1970, divorced in 1978. I have 2 beautiful daughters, Melanie (31) and Erin (26), and two wonderful grandchildren...Jacob (5) and Madeleine (16 mos). I moved to Dallas in 1985 and was there for 12 years, working for AirTouch Paging (now Verizon). I moved back to the Houston (Sugar Land) area in 1997 for family reasons. I've been working as an accountant for 30+ years. I'm currently working for a small oilfield/refinery services company in Houston. I am single and currently keep busy with my work, church, family, going to the symphony, theatre, babysitting grandkids - it's the greatest, etc..... I have always kept my BC friends close at heart, Alvin was just a 4 year nightmare, and would love to hear from any of you that might remember me. This website is fabulous and it's been great reading everyone's postings. The saddest part was learning of those from this class who have passed on. I mean, I started kindergarten with most of these people and it's hard to believe they're gone. Anyway, I hope to hear from some long, lost friends in the future. I was in the education field for 27 years as a business ed teacher, career counselor, and grant writer. I taught at Lamar Orange business courses and wrote grants for the college. I was married to Charles (Butch) Johansson for 23 yrs. He was killed in 1992. Both of our sons, Eric and Ryan, were avid baseball players in HS and college keeping me extremely busy following them. Our sons have their BS degrees and on their own. Eric and Michelle live in Kingwood, TX and they blessed me with my first granddaughter in '04. I retired from teaching in '03 and am currently working in real estate. I travel as often as I can. I'm still hyper as ever and tackle each new adventure. I would love to hear or see any of you. I finished all the classes that I could at night and decided to quit work and finish college. I graduated from Lamar with a degree in Computer Science and Computer Information Science. I am currently working for Lockheed Martin at NASA in Clear Lake. I'm part of the team that gives planners a framework to plan future shuttle flights and on going International Space Station work. He has one step-daughter, Harlee, four years old, and one son, Hadley, one and half years old. My daughter, Lyndsey, is sixteen years old and is a sophomore at Vinton High School. I was so looking forward to our 30th reunion. I hope we can get one together for our 35th or 40th. It's great hearing from all of you. I have often wondered what happened to everyone. I don't work outside the home anymore (except in the yard) :) so ya'll write and let me know how ya'll are and what you're up to. My step son and his wife just had their fourth child. And grandma here gets to keep him while mom is teaching at the Elementary school. Or should I say spoiling him?? We have eight grandchildren in all. They range in age from 14 to 2 months. 	Skipper Nixon (Class of 1969) E-mail: skipnixon@aol.com I joined the US Air Force two weeks after graduation , June 6, 1969. I spent the next ten years on active duty with the Air Force. I served tours in the Philippines, Thailand, and the Netherlands. I married Vicki Storey May 26, 1972. My how time flies. We have three daughters. Our first daughter, Jennifer Michelle, was born in a Dutch hospital in Soest , the Netherlands. Our other two daughters , Allison and Merri, were born right here in Orange Memorial. I got out of the Air Force in Dec 1979. I went to work for Burroughs Corporation which later became Unisys as a Field Service Engineer working on various computer systems. At the same time I continued my military career by joining the Texas Air National Guard. In Aug 1993 I took a voluntary layoff from Unisys and joined the Texas Air National Guard as a fulltime civil service technician. I'm currently the production controller for our guard unit. Our guard unit , the 273 Engineering Installation Squadron, engineers and installs communications systems for Department Of Defense customers around the world. I was just promoted the Chief Master Sergeant (E-9) this past October. I spend a LOT of time on the road. Just ask Vicki. Our two youngest daughters, Allison and Merri, are both mentally and physically handicapped. They both attend the Life Skills class at BCHS. I must say the Lord has really blessed me with a wonderful wife and family. God Bless All. 	Sharon Bass-Pond (Class of 1969) E-mail: spond13idaho@yahoo.com I've married for 23 years this year.. I have a daughter Alexis, just turned 19 and is a student at the University of Idaho and a son Max, who just turned 14, and will be in high school next year. Max is mr. personality (and i'm not at all predjustice) He is very athletic.. and the only sport he hasn't played yet is baseball.. Football, tennis, golf, soccer, Basketball (my favorite) and now Lacrosse.. I DON'T get Lacrosse.. He is very social and only gets in trouble for talking .. SOOOO What.. It could be worse.. anyway, we'll be working on academics next year..I HOPE!!. Anyway, I can't believe its been so long ago that we all graduated high school..Alexis, very much like her dad, reserved and oh so thoughtful. She's a beautiful young lady.. She is majoring in communications and minor in business.. She played tennis in hight school and was a cheerleader for a couple of years and then, she got over it..ha ha.. just kidding..She is pledged to the Tri Delta soroity at the university and I'm going up next weekend for MOM's weekend.. Just the girls.. My husbands business took us to Minneapolis, St. Louis, Omaha, Sarasota, Fl. and we are now living in Meridian , Idaho.(no not Iowa) Ken, my husband grew up here and I knew we would return sometime.. Actually, he thinks he is retired.. NOT..Fortunately for me I've been a stay at home mom..But, I don't stay at home...My passion is playing tennis..tennis... tennis and a little more tennis.. I like to collect antiques, and I play golf when I have to..Love to keep busy. I just don't feel that old. I have been married to Butch Poole from Jennings, LA for 36 years. We have one daughter, Heather, who lives in the Dallas area with her husband Robby and their 4 year old son, Matt. Robby and Heather are expecting our second grandchild in late May; it will be a girl. I visited Bridge City for the first time since 1987 last year. Mom and dad live in Woodville and are 85 years old; they wanted to see their old home town again so I drove them down for a visit. BC has really changed since our old school days. What a great new high school! Pat Moon Wallace and Yvonne Salsbury Goss and I get together once a month for dinner and have really enjoyed talking about old times and learning about what each of our families are up to. 	Bobby Pruitt (Class of 1969) E-mail: TX3RKranch@aol.com Boy, some of us are really getting old. How are you all doing? It has been so long since I have seen any of you! I tried this summer to find out if we were having a 30th reunion, to no avail. Maybe this web site will help us keep in touch. I hope so. Renee Elaine Middleton and I met when I was at school at Texas A&M in Bryan. We got married in 1974 in Bridge City. I came home and went to work at Hubbard Electric in BC, and Renee went to work for Dr. David Olson. Renee & I moved to Austin in 1984. We are preparing to build our first home in Elgin (20 miles east of Austin). We have 35 acres with a barn, two quarterhorses, eleven cows, three pygmy goats, four chickens, three ducks, and I don't know how many catfish, bass and perch. (We had guinea's, geese, more chickens and ducks until the coyotes got them!) Rachel Pruitt Crafts (24), our daughter and her husband Eric, bought land that adjoins ours, and they already live in Elgin. No children yet! Kyle (21), our son and his wife Tammy, just had our 1st grandson (Kyle Allen Pruitt, 1 year old, 01/14/00). They live in Cedar Park. My parents Bob and Duiane Pruitt also live in Cedar Park. My two son's from that marriage are 27 and 25 years old. They're both married, but only the youngest has made me a grandmother. My 6 month old grandbaby, Cameron Hunter is precious. I've worked at Gordon's Jewelry store in Houston after graduating, Gulf States Utilities Co. after moving back to B.C. Then went to Lamar and U.of H. to get psychology degrees while I bartended, practiced counseling for 6 years before becoming the Director over the Adult Outpatient and Children Services at the local mental health agency, Spindletop MHMR. I remarried in 1990 and am very happy with my life. I love to read detective novels, real crime and watch Will and Grace, Friends, Frazier, Who's Line is it Anyway and other sitcoms. 	Margaret Flowers-Robinson (Class of 1969) E-mail: marnianne@yahoo.com Now living in Webster, Texas. I have been married to Robert Burton Robinson since May 9, 1970. He was from our rival, West Orange. We were in church work in southern Baptist churches for most of our married life. He has a music degree from Lamar and got a Computer Information Science degree in 1997 and works for United Space Alliance and does computer programming for NASA. He writes and maintains some of the software that is used by flight controllers in Mission Control to send commands to the International Space Station. We have both written Christian music that has been published by Word, Inc. He has written 5 senior adult musicals that have been published and First Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia, under the direction of John Glover, has done all of them. I am writing two children's books that are being considered for publication. I am making a trip to Providence, Rhode Island, on June 3rd, 2000, to talk with a publisher and an editor for the children's division. I have also been in touch with an illustrator from Dallas. I will go to Plymouth Rock and see the Mayflower while I'm up there. We will also go to the Empire State Building and do photo shoots for my books. I am so excited about this. Robert and I have two children, Bryan, 29, who is married to our wonderful daughter-in-law, Samantha Gayle Mitchell Robinson, from Vidor. They got married on my parents' 51st wedding anniversary on April 17, 1999. We also have a daughter, Marla, 26. We have two wonderful little grandchildren, Destinye Fayth, who is 7, and Zachary Seth, who will be 2 on June 1st. We have moved around a lot but are in Webster to stay. We love it here. It is like living in a modern day Mayberry. It is wonderful. I would love to hear from former classmates and classmates and people that I grew up with who weren't in my grade. I love people and I love to laugh. You would not know me, now. I am not the shy person I used to be. My mother said that God worked overtime on me when I asked him to take away my shyness. I think he did, but being in the ministry, I just could not be shy. I look forward from hearing from anyone from Bridge City and I promise to write you back. My oldest daughter is married and had me 2 wonderful grandchildren (a boy ad a girl). I retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1989 with only 16 years service. We live in Lumberton, Texas. We spend most of our time cruising and vacationing. We choose a different state or country every year for vacation and spend a whole month there. 	Diana Dumas-Tucker (Class of 1969) E-mail: larry-diana@prodigy.net After graduation, I attended Sam Houston in Huntsville and met Larry Tucker. We celebrated our 30th anniversary this past May. We have two sons, Kevin is 25 and a computer programmer working in downtown Houston. Keith is 22 and attending Kingwood College. Neither are married, so I'm not a Grandma, yet. Larry is a Professor teaching at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, TX. He is Chairman of Aeronautical Technology and works with Continental Airlines to train pilots. I am a Special Education teacher in the Sheldon, I.S.D. We just built a new home in Walden of Lake Houston in Humble, TX last summer. As for me and mine, after graduation I graduated from Louisiana College and went on to Seminary in Ft. Worth. While in Ft. Worth, I met Connie Partridge, and we were married in Atlanta,Ga. We have four children, Landrum (24) married to Mindy, Dara (22), Anna Beth (19), and Josh (17). My family and I have served in churches in Ashdown, Ark,, Alexandria, La., Corpus Christi, Tx., and now in Spring, Tx. At the present, I am the Associate Pastor at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Spring. Last year, Connie and I were able to build our dream home in Magnolia, Tx., and have enjoyed being out in the woods so very much. Like the rest of you, we have experienced some things that in 1969 I never dreamed would ever be a part of my life, but God has been good. I went into the Army and Pat began teaching math. After the army, I went the UH Law School while Pat received her Masters from UH. She still teaches in the Houston area, Klein School Dist and I am a criminal district court judge here in Houston. I will be running for a 4th 4 year term this coming March (06). Two sons, Kyle, 26....lives in Austin w/wife Julie and 2 children and currently working on his masters in Business and Jeff, 23.... recent graduate of SFA and here in Houston working for a real estate management company.
