Our son Darrin and his wife Paige (daughter of Jeanette Beard LeLeaux also Class of '66) have two beautiful children, Tristan 7 and Meagan 4. We are thoroughly enjoying the grandchildren. I am now semi-retired, managing my son's businesses. Charles will retire June 2006 or before. We both enjoy riding the Harley. We take short trips with the Harley Club we belong to; a bunch of old people wearing leathers and do-rags. I never dreamed I would be doing this, but have really enjoyed being with people our age and seeing this beautiful country of ours. I also enjoy getting emails from school friends, so drop me a note. 	Brenda Robnett-DeLord (Class of 1966) E-mail: bdelord@ix.netcom.com Hello friends! I'm alive (surprise) and well just outside of Austin. Life has been good since BCHS. I had a great time at Pecker Tech picking up my undergraduate degree in education and my husband of 32 years. We remained in Beaumont for a few years, then moved to Dallas for about 8. While there I completed my master's at A&M Commerce. We had a brief stay in San Antonio and adopted our son while there. You know my standing joke is that if I had known as much about infertility in high school as I do now, damn it, I could have been Football Sweetheart! Anyway, he's now 22 and a wonderful young man and much cuter and smarter than one I could have birthed! We came to Austin to be close to the Capital so my husband could lobby, and have been here ever since. He is the president of a state-wide police union (CLEAT) and an attorney. We love to travel, and have been all over the world for both business and pleasure. I have spent the last 15 years of my career as an Educational Diagnostician in local school districts, but have recently retired and am working part-time as a consultant. Our son graduated from Columbia University last May and is back in God's country and close to his old mom and dad. And....don't even mention grandchildren! It's been great catching up with some of the old friends. I'm looking foreward to the 60's blast this summer. Thanks for the great web site! Occupation: Retired July 2003 from Huntsman Corp. Bio: Yvonne and I married in 1970. We will celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary this year. I retired from Huntsman in July 2003. Yvonne retired from teaching July 2004. We have enjoyed working in our yard together and playing with the grandkids. I play golf at least once a week. I am enjoying retirement. Both of our kids are married to great people and have blessed us with five grandchildren. We really enjoy the kids and grandkids. They all live within 20 minutes of us. I lost both of my parents in 1999. My sister Patricia and my brother Howard both live in Orange. Yvonne s parents live only a mile from us and I help them out when I can. We lived in Texas until 1991 and then retired to the village of Kokomo in south central Mississippi.. We have four grown children. My two, Doyle 32, and Candi 29 (their dad is Wayne Morse class of '66) and his two Tony 37 and Jerry 30 and a daughter Sheridan Noelle age 11. We own and operate a general mercantile and run about 100 head of beef cattle on our farm. I am church pianist and along with the help of my husband operate a non denominational children's ministry. I enjoy camping boating, going to Texas to see my family and spending time with my young daughter. I would love to hear from my classmates. I live in Mauriceville, Tx. with my husband Al of 35 yrs. He is a W.O. guy [W.O.-B.C.. didn't mix too well back in the 60's] But after 35 yrs. I must have done something right. We have 2 sons, Greg who is 32 &has blessed us with 2 granddaughters with a? on the way. Scott #2 son is 27 & still not married [Uncle Sam USMC] taught him too much patience, but does have a very steady. I work for a local Dentist as his assistant &have been for 14 yrs. Guess I'll be there until I can get me an "IT" to get me around!!! But I'm still too much of a people person to give it up and besides thanks to the good Lord, I'm still in great health to retire. I have been so busy trying to be a good wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, principal, volunteer and realtor that I have not stayed in contact with my BCHS friends. What a charmed childhood we had - there were 157 graduates in the Class of '66. I recently presented diplomas to 750 graduates of Clear Lake High School.I spent 21 years in public education and had the privilege of serving students, teachers and parents as a principal at all levels. My favorite saying is that I have had the joy of working with children 'from the crayon box to the cap and gown.' I am currently a realtor for RE/MAX Space Center in Clear Lake. My former students are now beginning to call me with their real estate needs - talk about an humbling experience! My husband Rod and I live in Pearland, TX. We enjoy golf, cards, traveling - but most of all spending time with our kids and grandchildren! I am looking forward to seeing you all in September, but I hope there will be nametags!! My wonderful wife(Diane Mathews, St Mary's class of 1965) hung in there with me for all that time, so when we retired from the Air Force we came home to take care of her mom. Recently, that has taken a good deal of our time since she had a stroke in 2000. I spent three years at Community Christian School in Orange as an English/Math teacher and a coach while at the same time getting my teacher's certification and my Master's Degree in Counseling and Development. I then worked in the Lumberton ISD for a year as a counselor. I moved into a position as a counselor with a foster care agency and worked with them for three years. I then hung up my shingle as a Licensed Professional Counselor to see if I could make it working for myself. All the while I was hoping to get a position as a counselor in BC. That opportunity came in 2001 when Terry Stuebing moved up from counselor to principal at BCHS. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at BCHS. I've had the opportunity to counsel the kids of some of my classmates and the grandkids of some as well. I am even getting to counsel my nephew Mark's son Jace who will be a senior this year. I don't know if he always enjoys having his great-uncle there to keep him from doing the things I did in school, but I certainly enjoy watching him and all the kids progress through high school. As you can see, we have been truly blessed to be able to go places and see things we would never have imagined and then to return home and give back to the community in some small way. When you stop to think that we were cheering those Cardinals to the play-offs 35 years ago, that sounds old! I live in Katy, Texas which is just west of Houston. I teach 2nd grade and stay more busy than ever. My elementary school just received the National Blue Ribbon Award and I got to to to D.C. to receive the award. That was great fun ! I am happily married to the same guy for 30 years now. We have two handsome sons: Rich just graduated from A&M (Whoop) and J.P. will graduate from Ole Miss this next year. He took one look at the campus, heard those sweet southern accents and saw those gorgeous girls and all those Texas schools didn't hold interest any longer. I was honored to have been chosen as a State Trainer for the 2nd grade Reading Academies that were done this last year. I have been asked to do a repeat performance next summer too. I present at the district and state level when I can.... give me an audience whether they are 7 or 57 and I am happy. I'd love to hear from some of you. Is a reunion in the works?
